Tinnitus

Ringing or other noises in one or both ears, often due to a health condition.
Wear protection over the ears, such as earmuffs, around loud noises. Turn the volume down low while listening to music with headphones. Limit alcohol, caffeine and nicotine.
See a healthcare professional right away if tinnitus happens with:
- Trouble hearing.
- Symptoms such as feeling faint, weak or woozy.
- Anxiety or depression.
See a health professional if:
- Tinnitus gets in the way of daily life.
- The symptoms start after a cold or other illness and don't get better within a week.
