An allergic response causing itchy, watery eyes, sneezing and other coldlike symptoms.
Hay fever, also called allergic rhinitis, is an allergic response. Diagnosis involves skin testing and viewing of the nasal passages and sinuses.
Allergic rhinitis symptoms include itchy, watery eyes, sneezing, nasal congestion and itching, and runny nose. These symptoms can happen seasonally or year-round.
Medicines called antihistamines can ease symptoms.
