Onychomycosis

Onychomycosis is a nail fungus. It causes thickened, brittle, crumbly, or ragged nails.
Rarely, the condition causes pain or a slightly foul odor. Usually the problem is cosmetic.
Treatment options are oral antifungal drugs, medicated nail polish or cream, and nail removal.
